What To Expect

Getting therapy is an important decision that can change your life for the better. It’s important you know the answers to these essential questions frequently asked by our Camden County and Philadelphia clients, so you can make an informed decision.

  • We work with people age 15 and over who are struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, chronic pain, or chronic health issues. Sometimes these issues have led to behavioral paralysis and all sorts of functional life consequences. Other times everything looks great “on paper,” but that is not how the person is experiencing themselves or their life. We specialize in helping people contend more effectively with their difficult and often unwanted thoughts and feelings and detrimental behaviors. As part of our initial consultation, we will get a chance to know each other and to decide if we seem like a good team. We see clients for in person therapy at our Cherry Hill, NJ office and are authorized to practice with clients via telehealth in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and 35 other states through PSYPACT. For a full list of PSYPACT participating states, please click here.

  • We understand and employ gold-standard, evidence-based treatment—incorporating the science of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as indicated—to help you understand yourself and your struggles and the workable pathways to satisfaction and fulfillment.

Our clients quickly and effectively begin to feel more in control of their lives and in navigating whatever their minds, bodies, relationships, jobs, and this world throw at them.

  • We recommend beginning by meeting one time per week. We have found that meeting weekly helps clients effectively progress toward their goals. We will establish a set time to meet each week and that will be our reoccurring weekly appointment. If you desire to meet more frequently, we are happy to discuss that with you.

  • Therapy does not have to take a long time. That said, there are many factors that contribute to the length of therapy. You are a unique person with a unique history and life. Timing will be a function of who you are and what you want to achieve. We can assure you that we will do everything we can to work with you and help you effectively and efficiently progress towards achieving your goals for therapy. Together, we will work towards producing durable, lasting change that you have confidence in.

  • In-person sessions are available through our office in Cherry Hill, NJ. Additionally, we are able to meet clients via a secure, HIPAA-compliant, internet-based platform. We have specialized training in telehealth and have found teletherapy to be effective and efficient. It also offers the convenience to meet from any place that is comfortable for you without the inconvenience of commuting back-and-forth to an office. If you are not used to this modality, we can discuss how to address your concerns.

  • We are not contracted with any insurance company directly, and therefore we are considered an out-of-network provider. The full fee is collected at the time of service. Many people find that they are entitled to out-of-network benefits, and we will provide you with everything you need to submit for any eligible reimbursement.

  • Awesome! We offer a free phone consultation to see if we are the right fit for you based on your needs. Please call us at (856) 287-8846 or click here to schedule the consultation.
